Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Great Outdoors Academy website. On some pages, you can add comments, send emails, get the registration forms for expeditions, and submit your original work for The Expedition Journal. The types of personal information collected are:

Contact information
Personal and/or medical information as needed for expedition registration
Parent and/or guardian information as needed for expedition registration
Original writing and artwork as submitted to us

The Way We Use Information:

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not shared with outside parties.

We use the information you provide when registering for an expedition in order to complete that registration and customize your experience. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to outfit your expedition.

We use the information and original material you submit for publication in The Expedition Journal in order to review your submission. If published, your information and material will fall under the copyright rules related to the Journal.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
